HEPA Vacuum Cleaners For The Allergy Sufferers

There are various varieties and models of HEPA vacuum cleaners available in the market. HEPA is nothing but a type of filter with good efficiency that can be able to trap even a large amount of small particles in the air, when compared to the other normal vacuum cleaners. There are different categories of HEPA filters in the market.

Now-a-days, the name HEPA filters is mentioned in all the vacuum cleaners. Sometimes it is difficult for the buyers to purchase a true HEPA filter cleaners. True HEPA filters will a have a serial number assigned to them and can be able to trap or absorb at least 99.97% of dust particles that is present in the air of 0.3 microns.

The original HEPA filter is little bit expensive when compared to the normal filter vacuum cleaners. In original HEPA filter vacuum, the result will be printed on the filter itself. The name simply HEPA in other vacuum cleaners does not meet the standards set by the United States Department of Energy (DOE). They often capture only 85 to 90% of the dust particles and can be lower than 1 micron.

It was in the year 1940 that the first HEPA filter was designed and launched. It was later used in a project called "manhattan"to prevent the spread of the air borne radioactive contaminants to the people.

These types of vacuums are beneficial for those suffering from allergy and asthma, which traps even the fine dust particles such as pollen and other form of dust which trigger the symptoms of asthma. These vacuum cleaners are designed in such a way that all the air should be drawn into the machine which is expelled through the filter, without leaking of air.

Newer model of vacuum cleaner is better than the older models because of being washable. Washable filters are generally a little bit expensive. Some vacuum cleaners have a high efficiency drop in style HEPA filter to have a maximum efficiency of dust removal from the carpets or from the rugs. Bag less models of HEPA cleaner will be a useful tool for cleaning the dust settled in the floors, carpet, in the furniture and even the pet hairs.

The HEPA vacuum cleaners filter needs to be fixed post motor so as to ensure the exhaust of emitting the allergen free air. This post motor feature is currently available in the canister vacuum models. The bag and the motor components of this vacuum needs to be completely sealed with a rubber gaskets so that there will be no leakage of dust filled air.
